Nach eigenen Feldversuchen mit sehr günstigen Heizgriffen, die jedoch nicht, oder nur mangelhaft funktioniert haben, bin ich letztendlich bei diesen Dingern gelandet.Eindruck/Qualität:die Griffe machen einen wertigen, und robusten Eindruck. Sie bieten genug Grip, sind ausreichend dimensioniert (Durchmesser, Länge), und riechen nicht nach billigem China-Plastik.Montage:Ohne technische Vorkenntnisse sollte man jedoch diese Arbeit nicht durchführen!Das beinhaltete Montagematerial, und die Beschreibung sind vollständig.Das Aufkleben der Heizgriffe gerade auf den Lenker funktioniert mit dem mitgelieferten Kleber nicht richtig, selbst, wenn man die Klebestellen professionell dafür vorbereitet. Da die Griffe während der Fahrt dann verrutschen können, sehe ich hier ein Sicherheitsrisiko!Die Kabel-Steckverbindungen könnten stabiler, und qualitativ besser ausgestaltet sein.Davon abgesehen ist die Montage der Griffe für technisch versierte Personen kein Problem.Funktion:Die Heizleistung der Griffe ist in meinen Augen ausreichend. Sie erwärmen sich schnell, und halten die Temperatur gleichmäßig je nach Einstellung. Die Abschaltautomatik bei abgestelltem Motor funktioniert bei mir bisher einwandfrei.Fazit:Ich würde mir diese Heizgriffe jederzeit wieder kaufen, da meiner Meinung nach das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis in einem guten Verhältnis zueinander steht.

My hands always get painfully cold when riding my bike in temperatures under 35°F. I've tried many types of gloves but even the best (or at least most pricey) let the cold through after only a few miles of riding. So I decided to go try heated grips. I read a zillion reviews and the Oxfords seemed to best value and are well rated. In fact, the system appears to be of high quality and the installation was not difficult. The original grips were installed over a plastic throttle sleeve that had raised areas that the grip would hold onto to. These raised "fins" made the overall diameter too large to fit the Oxford throttle grip onto, so I had to shave off the fins so the plastic sleeve was approximately 1" diameter. This allowed the heated grip to slide right onto the sleeve, and after applying the glue the grip holds well to the sleeve. I had read that even with the temperature control turned off the system still draws a small amount of current, so installation of a relay activated by the key was suggested. I don't know if the system really draws slight current when off but, to be on the safe side to not drain the battery, I decided to just add a switch under the seat on he hot lead between the temperature controller and battery positive. This was easier than installing a relay and serves the same purpose except for having to turn on the switch before a cold weather ride. I've ridden a few times in cold weather and the Heaterz definitely help a lot. I only need to use the lowest setting for adequate warmth, and the highest setting causes the grips to become quite warm if not outright hot. Overall I am very pleased with the quality and performance of the Heaterz, and the fairly simple installation. I've only had the system a couple months so can't speak to long term durability.
