these new silicone storage pouches are one of the most innovative kitchen products i've seen in a long time, i hate using normal ziplock style bags as they're fragile and quite hard to clean.these new bags have a robust and easy to open and seal closure and the material is thick but clear so you can easily see the contents but not have to worry about it being jostled around with other hard oddly shaped frozen goods in your freezer drawers.the closures do absorb the cold a lot so if you have sensitive fingers like me that don't do well with cold things you might want to give them a couple of minutes to warm up before handling too much but it's really a minor matter of personal comfort levels with such things.they're not cheap but if they last as well as i think they will then like most good quality kitchenware they're worth the investment.I particularly like this large size as i can lay items flat side by side and freeze them without them joining together so i can easily take what i need and reseal the rest.

We recently picked up several sizes of these OXO Good Grips reusable bags and are very impressed, with these now being a staple in our kitchen!Even though these bags are well-performing, I was a little put off by the high price point, especially since there is only 1 bag. I can sort of understand why they are so expensive as they are higher quality than your average bag and they're dishwasher and microwave safe, but I still find it hard to justify the price for a single reusable bag.We typically use our bags for chopped raw/cooked veggies and any leftovers, and our foods are always fresh when opening after sealing! The seals on the bags are surprisingly tight and reliable, and so it is also possible to store liquids in these bags, although I would still be careful when doing so.64 Oz - The 64 Oz Oxo bag is the most versatile in our kitchen and the one we use most often. We typically use this one for meal-prepped raw/cooked veggies for salads, soups, pasta dishes etc, although have also used when marinating foods too, due to the size and space of the bag, and reliable seal!

Its has a thick clasp and it's easy to know when it's not fully sealed. Good for snacks and leakproof. It does stand up without help with items inside. Easy to wash in the dishwasher. Doesn't fit a lot but it does let you stretch a decent amount in.

These bags are excellent and are really well made - which you would expect for the cost(they aren't cheap). On the other hand I think these bags are so well made, with thick silicon walls and chunky, easy to use seals that they may literally outlast me.They are dishwasher safe and so can be turned inside out and put on the top rack but they are so easy to clean by hand that I wouldn't consider it necessary that often.I have had lots of OXO products and not only do I highly rate their products but I have also had a problem with something in the past and a few emails later they sent me a replacement.I am a huge fan of these reusable bags and can highly recommend.Pro-Tip: when washing in the dishwasher, turn the bag inside out and seal it(you can do this) to prevent water pooling in the bag.
