There seemed to not be a lot of information as to whether these sticks were compatible with the Quest 1 and Rift-s style controllers.I've fitted one of these to my Quest 1 left controller and everything is working correctly for the moment.I had awful stick drift which the dead zone couldn't cure, meaning that I kept running backwards off of cliffs in the half life 2 vr mods I've been playing recently, not ideal!This review is for the Quest 1. I don't own a Quest 2, so my review does not cover any of that process.The kit itself does not contain the thumb stick itself, so that must be swapped over, along with the capacitive touch sensor.The only tool I used from this kit was the 'L' shaped T5, as a couple of screws are difficult to access under the ired ring. I would generally always use quality tools for repair, rather than the cheap ones given in these kits however.A couple of installation points:Removing the outer plastic ring from the controller is by far the hardest part of this repair and will be the most likely point of failure.When folding the inner ring (after heating the glue) and removing the outer plastic ring over the top, the ribbon cable will scrape on the outer part if not handled extremely carefully. This will sever the cable and destroy the controller if you're not careful, as the inner plastic forms a spring that pushes it outwards. That bit seems to be the part that most repair videos miss out on, and as someone who is experienced with electronics, I found it to be an uncomfortable experience. The controllers are really badly designed for this repair.Some of the Torx screws are difficult because they are at an angle. Definitely look closely to ensure the tool is straight with the screw head before driving out, otherwise the tool and screw will be shredded, making the process more difficult.There were some complaints that the thumb touch sensor doesn't work with these joysticks, but there is a small metal piece that connects between the thumb stick, covers the joystick module and is screwed into the pcb that provides this functionality. Make sure it is swapped over with the thumb stick.Not sure how long these will last for, but I have another one spare for the occasion and it's certainly easier to perform the repair the second time around!

After looking how much it would cost to replace the controllers (hundreds) I decided to give this a chance. I'm not very nimble fingered and my eyesight is not the best but having watched a step by step video on YouTube I had a go and I'm glad I did. Don't get me wrong it's not really easy but the video tells you exactly what to do and when to do it and coupled with this priceless piece of kit I fixed both controllers in about an hour or two. I absolutely recommend this product and as long as you follow the steps in the video ( which is a must) you will not be disappointed

Fitting this part is not for the amature techie. I rate the repair around and 8.5 out of 10 difficulty level due to refitting one ribbon cable where there is next to no room to get your twizzers in. It cured the stick drift but the tools supplied are shockingly weak. Make sure you have good quality tools before starting the replacement. Overall I'm happy with the replacement.

So lemme break the barrier. I know most of you shoppers check 3 star reviews. Mainly because they are the truest ones. 5 star is too good to be true. And 1 star. Well you know how that goes. Anyways, on to the product.TL;DR - Product is good, you should buy it. (If you know what your doing)This is completely fine. I recommend getting your own little screw set. Its what I used. But the replacing the analog stick. Apart from taking apart the controllers etc(Thats on you. Use Youtube if your unsure. Be careful!)But the replacement part. Oh my god. Blissful! Worked like a charm. I have had stick drift for over 2 years. Having this work flawlessly? Amazing.
