Ich hatte bisher einen Metzblitz mit TTL für Panasonic für meine Panasonic Lumix GH3 Kamera und war sehr zufrieden. - Der ist in die Jahre gekommen und hatte jetzt ein paar Steuerungsfehler, ich musste ihn ersetzen.In der Endauswahl der Neuanschaffung waren dann das aktuelle Modell von Metz und dieser originale Panasonic DMW-FL580E Blitz. Auf Grund des interessanten Preises hier bei Amazon entschied ich mich dafür und wurde angenehm überrascht.Ich habe den Blitz jetzt ca. drei Wochen und ca.1000 Bilder (mit Blitz) gemacht. - Ich war über das Ergebnis der guten Ausleuchtung (direkt und indirekt) überrascht. Auch schwierige Aufgaben wie Aufhellen beim Sonnenuntergang und gemischte Sonne/Schatten Situationen auf dem Sonnendeck auf einem Schiff meisterte der souverän. Der Nachbearbeitungsaufwand bezüglich der Ausleuchtung hat sich spürbar verringert.Ich war auch überrascht über den geringeren Stromverbrauch. Der Blitz ist sehr schnell wieder bereit für das nächste Bild. Die 1,7 Sekunden, die auf der Panasonic Homepage angeführt werden bei mir klar unterboten. (Als Partyfotograf ist das für mich ein entscheidender Vorteil)Die Lithium Ionen Akkus (Duracell Ultra HR6 AA Akkus) wechselte ich erst nach ca. 700 Aufnahmen, als das Nachladen begann langsamer zu werden. - Ich vermute aber, das ich bei normalem Gebrauch auch 1000 Blitzbilder hätte machen können.Aus meiner Sicht eine klare Kaufempfehlung! - Alles bestens.

Makes me wish I'd had a Canon camera, as I'd have been able to go for Canon's 600EX-RT with built-in radio trigger, whereas Panasonic's FL580LE, while "wireless", it's "optical", which means you need pop-up flash open on your camera, which is very inconvenient for certain angles and certain positions, such as being able to place flash units out of sight behind subjects. I dislike having to be tethered to cables, as you've then got the problem of having to hide cables so they don't appear in your shot. I've had to spend extra on third-party radio triggers. I won't be getting a second Panasonic Flash unit, whereas I would have if they'd made one with identical functions and features to Canon's 600EX-RT.Also, some of the features on my Panasonic FL580LE don't appear to be working ("TTL Auto" mode, for example). Looking in the operations manual, this should be an option available to choose from the Mode dial, but it just won't go to it. Somebody else has commented on a defective unit, and it might be that I've also got similar problems. I'm currently stuck with normal TTL or Manual-only mode, which is fine - I like learning in manual mode, anyway, and for shooting non-moving subjects, I seen videos on YouTube saying that Manual's the mode to go with. But that's not the point. I didn't spend this much on a Flash unit to be denied using/exploring all it's features.The only saving grace is the ability to wireless adjust the settings from my Panasonic FZ1000 camera, which is much preferable to having to keep on returning to the flash unit to adjust the settings; I just go into the menu on the back of my camera, I can switch between First or Second Curtain Sync, and can adjust the power setting of the flash unit. As said, it's just a shame the unit doesn't also contain a radio trigger, as I've had to purchase TWO units (one to go onto the flash unit, the other to go onto the hotshoe of my camera), and it's just extra equipment to carry about (and more batteries to purchase and to have to keep on re-charging).Another benefit of having the flash unit is the power of the flash compensates for the relatively small 1 inch sensor, which doesn't perform very well indoors, and being able to take the flash and use it off the camera (as key/fill/rim lighting), is better than having to put up with the not-so-flattering look from the in-built flash that sits at the top of the camera.I think Canon have done a better job with their top-of-the-range 600EX-RT model than Panasonic have done with their top-of-the-range flash unit (FL580LE, the model you're reading about).

Nach dem auspacken schon ein Eindruck von Plastikspielzeug .Ich habe Batterien rein gesteckt , danach ist sofort der Batteriedeckel abgebrochen .Über die Funktionen kann ich nichts sagen .Ein ganz klares NEIN

Sadly this device ceased to operate properly shortly after we began using it. Despite talking to the Panasonic help line all that they could finally suggest was that we should return the item. This had been a special gift for my wife's birthday so we were particularly disappointed that the device failed,especially as it was so expensive.
