This captivating image comes from the first edition of Scottish poet and anthropologist Andrew Lang’s The Olive Fairy Book. Compiled in 1907 by Lang, under the editorial guidance of his wife, Leonora (Nora) Alleyne, and illustrated by Henry Justice Ford, the book was one in a twelve-part series known as Lang’s Fairy Books, with each book named for the colour of its fairy.

This is a beautifully crafted journal with sewn binding for an elegant look and lasting quality. The pages have a nice feel and are heavy enough writing does not show through from the opposite side. The gold embossing on the cover is gorgeous and reflects the original artwork of Andrew Lang’s Green Fairy Book. A beautiful keepsake.(This is not a large journal, as stated in the description, but this company also makes a larger version if that is important to you.)

I love this brand. The quality of the paper, binding and cover art cannot be beat. This cover design is one of my favorites so I've purchased it in every size avail (lined and unlined).
