I have been using this notebook as a journal for a while now, and I have to say that it's VERY much worth the price tag: it was only 10 euros when I bought it, but the 100GSM paper feels like that price tag should be a little higher when I was actually writing in it. I can safely say that this paper is fountain pen friendly; I've tried both Lamy and Sailor inks in this notebook, and most inks don't even ghost through the page! Only some Sailor Manyo ink misbehaved slightly, but it only failed the layer test on 3 layers of ink. Also, most inks tend to fully dry and become smear-proof on this paper within 5 seconds, which is quite a short drying time for fountain pen ink in my opinion. The paper also quite easy on a fountain pen nib, because I've been writing for about 33 pages now without any nib on my pens clogging. I've also sucessfully used Sakura Gelly Rolls (which tend to ghost a little on extremely cheap paper) and Zebra Mildliners (which definitely ghost a little on my 160GSM planner if I layer them, but no such ill luck ) in this journal. So really, the paper in this is quite a bit tougher then it looks.Also, I'm very fond of the pre-made index pages and the pre-numbered pages in this; I tend to use indexes in all of my journals, and I'm not a fan of having to number pages. The bookmark also is a pleasant inclusion; I do like keeping track of my latest journal entry. The print on the front of the cover is also quite resilient; I've owned a few notebooks where the print on the cover was so frail that even my natural nails even scratched it. But after a month of semi-intense use, the print on this notebook still looks like it's brand new; the cover is quite tough for this price point. The elastic closure band definitely will last you as well: I've journalled expensive notebooks where the closure band sadly lost its elasticity after a month or so of use, but the closure on this notebook has still been going strong after that timeframe. It's not quite as new anymore, but it's still VERY sturdy compared to my Moleskine notebook and my older notebooks. I do have some items (like cards) glued onto a few pages of this journal, so that's quite reassuring; the elastic closure band definitely can even handle some added thickness from stickers and such things over time.Maybe a pocket at the back of the journal or a pen loop would've been nice, but that isn't an absolute requirement at this cheaper price point, and the pros of this notebook far outweigh the cons here. Also a slight con is that I wish this notebook had more pages, since the paper is quite good for journaling and general writing.All in all: I must say that I'm impressed that a cheap notebook like this is pretty much lifeproof, and I would definitely buy this again. Well worth the money, and Hafft is a stationery brand to keep an eye on; they have definitely surpassed my expectations (and then some), and I do have high standards when it comes to stationery. So if you're on the fence about this notebook: go for it! :)
