Nice and beautiful

You’ll probably have high expectations of the brand. I doubt if you’d be disappointed with this rollerball pen, even at the current £160. You may well find the price drops from time to time, so, if you’re in no hurry, it might be worth biding your time and keeping an eye on it.There’s no doubting the quality of the pen. It looks fabulous and is certainly flawless. It feels wonderful in the hand and is a pleasure to use. I find myself looking for reasons to pick it up and write.The pen comes in a suitably smart grey case with a nicely sprung lid. It’s held in place with a pair of thin elastic cords which are cleverly concealed by a ribbon. Disappointingly, though, only one refill is supplied and it’s rattling around loose under the insert that holds the pen. It feels almost as though it hasn’t been packed properly but I can’t see how else it could have been presented.I’m going to be mean and deduct a star for that disappointment, but this is a five-star pen and would make a wonderful gift, or perhaps you can justify treating yourself!

Das es sich bei dem PARKER Sonnet Tintenroller um einen sehr hochwertigen Stift handelt, ist deutlich. Die verwendeten Materialien wirken hochwertig und die Verzierungen sind alle sehr fein. Das Klickgeräusch beim Öffnen wieder verschließen der Kappe klingt angenehm. Die Maße sind alle sehr genau. Der Tintenroller ist etwas schwerer und mit den feinen Verzierungen macht er einen robusten und langlebigen Eindruck.Die Mine selber liefert ein angenehmes Schreibgefühl und eine ganz gute Balance aus dem „Über das Blatt gleiten“ und genügend Griffigkeit auf dem Papier, für Präzision. Das Schreibgefühl wäre meiner Meinung nach aber noch besser, wenn sie etwas leichter gleiten würde. Die Tinte fließt zuverlässig und gleichmäßig. Insgesamt ist das Schreibgefühl positiv und ich verwende den Tintenroller sehr gerne.Fazit: Ein schöner hochwertiger Tintenroller mit guter Haptik und angenehmem Schreibgefühl. Der Preis von aktuell 113 € ist aber natürlich auch ganz schön hoch.

Da er diese Tätigkeit bald ausüben darf, habe ich ihm den PARKER Tintenroller als erster besonderes Schreibwerkzeug geschenkt.Da er auch heute noch viel handschritlich vermerkt, war ich gespannt auf sein Urteil: Er hat mir versichert, dass er eine gute Haptik besitzt und sein Schriftbild gleich gut aufs Papier bekommt, wie bei anderen Stiften. Dabei fühlt es sich gut an, den formschönen Stift zu führen.Dabei ist die Qualität sicher nicht viel besser als vergleichbare Parker Stifte, die ein Drittel kosten, aber die goldenen Applikationen lassen den Stift sehr wertig wirken.Ich würde ihn auch wieder verschenken und vergebe dafür 5 Sterne.

I have always valued beautiful, high-quality items, especially pens and watches—almost like the jewellery of men, as I saw it in my childhood. Like an expensive watch, a quality pen is something I’ve admired and aspired to own. I still have my treasured watch and a couple of pens from over 30 years ago—constants in my life. I remember using entry-level Parker and Schaeffer fountain pens and ballpoints at school. My first high-end pen was a Parker Duofold Centennial Push-Cap Ballpoint Pen in a marbled maroon lacquer finish, which I bought shortly after starting work. It became my everyday companion, a trusted writing friend, bringing a feeling of balance and weight in hand that felt special, even if it didn’t improve my spelling, and my handwriting remained close to a doctor’s standard. Sadly, that beloved Parker was stolen, and although I later acquired luxurious Montblanc and Yard-O-Led pens as gifts, none truly replaced my trusted Parker, which was no longer available.That brings me to this Parker Sonnet. This beautifully crafted pen exudes elegance, with a luxurious silvery grey lacquer finish and gold details, giving it a refined, timeless look. The lacquer finish feels smooth and grips nicely to the touch, providing a level of comfort that other pens often lack—don’t let its sleek grey look make you think it may feel like a stainless steel pen; it has a much warmer and more premium look and feel. This Sonnet would make an ideal gift for occasions like graduations, work anniversaries, or career milestones, or simply for someone who appreciates quality items in their life. It’s perfect for moments when you want to give something both timeless and lasting, representing both style and substance.While it’s not inexpensive, I recently spent a similar amount on an Apple Pencil for my iPad. In 10 or 20 years, only one of these will likely still be in use and carry a history with it, while the other will have been replaced several times as its technology becomes outdated or its battery fails. I know I’m not comparing like with like, but the value here is in a writing instrument that could easily last a lifetime, requiring only the occasional refill. Highly recommended. It even brought back memories of looking through Parker pen catalogues from the 1970s and 1980s, a reminder of the craftsmanship that has stood the test of time. Solid 5-star review from me.
