The model I got had a slightly smaller heatsink and a perforated bracket. If you use a 16x PCIe slot for this on a board with on-board graphics, fix the board to on-board/CPU graphics in the bios. On my board the default setting was "auto" and the probe for a graphics card would hang the computer at boot with this card inserted.

Kaart ondersteunt geen hot swap indien een schijf wordt aangesloten als Windows aktief is. Alleen indien er al een schijf werd aangesloten voordat de computer werd gestart wordt de schijf gedetecteerd. Met een leeg station opstarten en daarna een schijf plaatsen werkt niet. Na onderzoek blijkt dat de chipset dit niet ondersteunt. Kaarten met een micron jmb582 (of hoger dan 582) generatie 3 ondersteunen dit wel (gebleken uit test).
