I bought this to carry my Canon XA10 camcorder and accessories. For that job it's perfect, though a little 'chunky' when you consider the size of the camera.The pick & pluck foam is much easier to use than the option of cutting out compartments yourself. It's basically a lot of 1cm square foam pieces (shaped a bit like big, grey foam french fries) the length of the depth of the case welded together in a way which keeps them held together, yet you can pluck out and remove any 1cm square section you like to create precisely shaped cavities. You can extract several together in a block to create larger cavities, trim the removed piece to a shorter length and re-insert to create cavities of limited depth too. Ingenious.The seal is very positive and the catches are very firm and unlikely to come open accidentally. The robustness of Pelican cases is legendary so you don't need me to tell you. Suffice to say that you would jump up and down on it and not damage the contents.My one complaint is that there is nowhere to attach a shoulder strap. There are plastic sections which you could drill through to create your own strap mounting point, but it would be nice to have them created at the factory.All in all, an excellent case, but make very sure you check the internal dimensions before ordering!
