Winkelwagen is nog leeg. The WG-1000 offers advantages that smartphones and many cameras do not - it can also be used in conditions where it gets really rough and wet. Many people know the situation when they have to concentrate fully on their sport, such as canoeing or climbing, but still want to capture these exciting moments in the picture. This is where the WG-1000 comes into its own.
The PENTAX WG-1000 has a reliable all-weather housing that is waterproof (JIS Class 8) to a depth of 15 metres and can be operated continuously for up to one hour; it is dustproof (JIS Class 6) against dirt and stains and shockproof* even against falls from a height of up to two metres. Thanks to this robust construction, the WG-1000 can be used for a wide range of activities, even in harsh, demanding conditions, and even for underwater shooting. A special feature opens up further usage options.
Sharp, clear images
The WG-1000 features a back-illuminated CMOS image sensor with approximately 16.35 effective megapixels and outstanding light reception efficiency to deliver sharp, clear, high-resolution images.
Within its compact, lightweight body, it features a four-times optical zoom lens with a focal-length coverage from 4.9 mm to 19.6mm (equivalent to approx. 27mm to 108mm in the 35mm format) to accommodate a wide range of applications. When coupled with its Digital Zoom function, you can extend the zoom range by approximately 24 times.
Since the WG-1000 can be safely sterilized with solutions containing ethanol, sodium hypochlorite (approved as a disinfectant of food additives) or chlorine dioxide, you can use it at medical facilities and production lines.

It is what you pay for. It is a cheap, toughened, sturdy camera for your trips. The quality of the pictures is ok, seen better tho. It a small and light camera. I love it very much.

Macht qualitativ gute Fotos, auch bei wenig Licht. Viele Einstellmöglichkeiten und doch einfach in der Bedienung. Staub- und wasserdicht. Auch für Kinder gut geeignet. Der Vorteil gegenüber den Smartphons ist vor allem das optische Zoom mit 27-108 mm Kleinbildäquivalent, das über den gesamten Bereich scharfe Bilder erzeugt.

Comprada para uso en las excursiones,pesa poco ,hoy en día con los móviles este tipo de máquinas escasean y las que hay son caras y para el senderismo corren mucho riesgos de golpes,está es genial ,prestaciones y la cálidad de las fotos muy aceptables.

I have owned a pentax camera for 13 years and it has always taken FABULOUS pictures. I wanted to get a better camera to replace my older Pentax (even though it works great!) so I could get the SLR features my older one didn't have.Overall I am extremely satisfied with this camera. The quality of the prints is outstanding. The camera itself is easy to use and the automatic settings allow even a novice (to the SLR world) like me to shoot professional-looking prints.My only complaint would be that I noticed in low light (like on an overcast day, or in the shade) the automatic feature won't pop up the flash so the prints end up looking dark. One of my daughters has brown hair and in one picture I took on the porch her hair looked black. Also her face looked grainy and dark. My husband, who knows a lot more about SLR photography than I do, said he thought the camera was metering off the wrong source???? In any case, that is something that a more knowledgeable photographer can work around.I shot some black and white pictures at the Biltmore House, and they look like the work of a professional.This is a great little camera!!!! If not for the darkness issues I had, I would have rated it 5 stars. Pentax makes an excellent quality product and their cameras are built to last.
