My son used this on his drum set with some very heavy hi-hats. It worked perfectly well and arrived in time for a gig thanks to using Prime.

Bought as an upgrade to a clutch on a very cheap hi-hat stand. this clutch is chunky and heavy which gave me a good first impression. did the job great. didnt loosen at all during play. . very good quality product. only problem was the bottom black plastic part that holds your bottom hat didnt fit onto my stand. i had to stick with my old one. luckily that part wasnt broken so i had no real problem.

Bought it to make something else and tbh it wouldn't have worked for it's intended use, the base part anyway. Top part is fine.

I've resumed playing in rehearsal studios after a couple of years playing in a basement and i had forgotten how some places want a deposit for felts/nuts/hihat clutch and how bad quality they usually are, so i decided to buy my own.I considered a quick release one but thought it would be overkill. I liked the price and the fact that it came as a "complete set", with the clutch and base.I haven't given five stars because the felts in the clutch are already "felting" ... like loosing bits, but this is a minor issue in a great product for the price.

Ordered in a hurry with gig fast looming. Took a spare in case this wasn't up to the job but needn't have worried. The clutch seems very well-made and didn't loosen at all during a half-hour frenetic set. Have since used in rehearsal (3 hours) with no problems whatsoever. I'm sure you can buy better, but not at this price. Recommended!
