We got this for my boy (he was 3 at the time) & he loved being attached to his bike & rolled with us. It's safe & secure to use.I love this & so did my boy.He used it until he was 5 & at 40lbs.Aftert that our balance was going off while riding together & he learned to ride his own bike.

Wir haben die Tandemstange für ein 16 Zoll Fahrrad geholt. Es dauert ein Weilchen bis man alles ordentlich angebracht hat. Wir haben zusätzlich mit einem Schlauch die Verbinder angebracht um Verkratzungen am Rad zu vermeiden. Es hält alles Bombenfest und nach dem zweiten mal anbringen ging es schon viel schneller. Unser Sohn (4 Jahre, fährt seit drei Wochen Fahrrad ohne Stützräder) hatte am Anfang etwas Angst. Nach einer halben Stunde Übung vorm Haus klappte es schon viel besser. Ich denke das wenn die Kinder ein gutes Gefühl dafür haben, man sie super damit befördern kann. Das An- und Abklemmen dauert maximal 5 Minuten und ist alleine möglich.

It seems to work ok when towing, even though it took hours to assemble out of the box and the acts of hitching / unhitching were tricky and steps needed to be done in the correct sequence else you can risk bending components that you shouldn't. My biggest issue is, when it's not in use, it comes with a pair of plastic legs that are supposed to allow the thing to be secured to your seat stays, but there is no mechanism that prevents it from swaying side to side, rubbing on your rear tyre in the process. The internet is of no help and I've yet to figure out a hack to resolve this.Extended review Nov 2021:I reduced my rating from 2 stars to 1. This gadget is just very badly designed. The Stowage issue I mentioned before is one thing, but an even more show stopping issue is that whenever you corner the child's bike simply leans over 45 degrees because the handle bar is twisted out of position (relative to the front wheel) and then you've to stop and twist it back into position. If you think about the design you realise all that is holding the child's bike upright and straight is the friction in the headset expander bolt which is obviously not designed for this. Just horribly not fit for purpose. Don't buy.

Took a few attempts to install but pretty balanced once on!
