El bote funciona muy bien, la verdad que nos cambio la vida, si mantiene el olor dentro del bote y si lo abres teniendo la tapa abierta si se llega a salir el olor pero eso es inevitable. La verdad es que cumple muy bien su función y si nos ha ayudado bastante aparte de que dura mucho cada recarga antes de hacer algún cambio, tenemos un perro chico así que el bote se llena en unos 15 días aprox. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

This little waste bucket is an odor container. The pail came to us completely assembled. All we had to do was put in the bag and off we went. We live in Florida, and anyone who knows the heat and humidity in Florida can only imagine what it can do to smell of confined dog waste. The smell is enough to knock your socks off. In comes the Pet Genie Pail; this small but mighty little waste bucket will keep that odor safely sealed inside . . . until you open to put in the next bags of waste.We try to open and deposit the waste in tandem so that we minimize the release of the smell as much as possible. Be ware that you need to hold down on the sliding lever when opening the top or it has a tendency to lift the contain instead of just opening. Because we live in the Florida heat, we used three to four dog poop bags including one that uses baking soda to try and stop the odor when container is opened. No luck. We finally found that flushing the pet waste down the toilet and putting used bags into new poop bags and place in the Pet Genie Pail works best for us. (The EPA actually recommends this method . . . please note that you should NOT flush the bag!!)Once we figured this method out, there is zero, and I do mean ZERO smell when opening the Pet Genie Pail. For anyone who's ever used a Diaper Genie, the bag refill works the exact same way. Tie the end, stretch it down. When you're ready to toss in the trash, pull a bit of extra bag, cut with the pail's cutter, tie the top, and voilà . . . toss into trash and start new.We cannot speak for using a pooper scooper with this Pet Genie Pail as we have always used poop bags. The opening does seem a bit small to me for aiming to dump from a scooper of sorts, but someone who has used that method is better suited to review that particular aspect. Nor can we speak to the mobility of the container as we leave it on the porch and don't carry it around the yard. It does look better than any other option that we came across. The container it self is smaller than one might expect. I'm short, 5 feet and it comes to my knees, but you really don't need much taller, nor would I think you want taller as it's small size compels you to change the bag before odor becomes a problem.All in all, a great buy and we are pleased to have found this Pet Genie Pail. The odor locker lever works until the pail is opened to put in new waste. Works just like the Diaper Genie. The Pet Genie Pail is a sturdy container designed just the trusty Diaper Genie and works exactly the same way. (Just for reference, we have one large dog about 75 pounds who regularly goes four times a day . . . a pooping machine as we call her!)
