I've bought a harness for her before, but she hated it. It gave her a lot of stress. But as she loves to be outside so i wanted to give it another go. As she's got a lot of fur i wanted something that wasn't gonna be too warm. So this will also work for summers. This harness arrived 3 days ago! I put it on her very loosely the evening I got it and she wasn't too keen. But I distracted het with a few toys and she didn't even notice it anymore. The next day I let her outside in the garden with it and she just did her thing as she usually does. Today (day 3) I put the leash on and that is when it started annoying her and started yo bite the leash. But I held it up very lose and she started walking. She doesn't run off so I actually felt secure enough to open the gate and walked a bit outside the garden. Her little nose went in overdrive with all the smells. She has to learn to walk with a leash properly. And I eventually will get her a roller one. But for now, I am really happy with this harness. It is easy to put on and to adjust. I watched a YouTube video of someone putting the harness on their cat and I found that to be very helpful. I knew on forehand how to put it on her so it didn't take unnecessarily long as you're trying to figure it out a long the way. There's also manual included which I found helpful. It explains how it's safely secured on your kitten. The only issue I have with it, is the clip thingies are small which make it a bitdifficult to open. And I think for larger breeds it may be too small. My kitten is 4,2kg. And she is wearing the large model. There is room to grow, but she is petit compared to her siblings. They may not fit this when they're fully grown. Which is also something to keep in consideration

My review is hardly necessary. 100+ 5 star reviews. Sure, some people may have had issues, but overall, this is the way to go. I used to work in an animal shelter, we used Gentle Leaders for all the dogs that were difficult or pulled our volunteers too hard while walking. Without punishing the volunteer or the dog, they worked miracles. When I found out at that time they had also designed a product for cats, I was thrilled. I have used this product on two of my own kittens. One more recently. My first cat didn't take to going outside so although it worked wonderfully, we didn't use it much. This second time around with a new kitten, at first I bought a cheaper "cat harness" at a chain pet store (because they did not stock the size of this product I needed, which was small). It went right back after I put it on and saw however "secure" my cat might be, it would choke him if he did try to escape or even just pulled on the leash. That's not going to happen with a Come With Me Kitty. He loves it. Tolerates me putting the harness over his head, and will stop if I pull back on the leash when he's starting to go somewhere I'd rather he not without hurting or choking him (which is the genius of this product). As to address the complaints about cats escaping. There may be cats that are houdini-esque and will escape just about ANY situation you put them in- HOWEVER- like with the Gentle Leader and dogs, if you do not fit the harness properly it can be easily done. ALSO, just because you have a say "8lb cat" does not mean you automatically get a medium. The the product description tells you what GIRTH the cat can be, which requires YOU to measure your cat for proper fit. For example too, if your cat is a 11" girth and size small says up to 11" girth, then maybe you should start with a medium which would start around there and end at a higher number. (that is just an example of the possible numbers, I am not looking at the product description while I type this). The human equivalent is saying I weigh 150lb so I must wear a size 8, but if your only 4ft tall that's not going to be the case. Don't blame the jeans, blame your measurement! (or the harness in this case)Anyhow, that is my experience with this product. Buy it from Amazon because so far, most retail stores I've found charge $20 or more. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to safely take their cat outside with supervision, and proper fit of course!!

We had tried several different kinds of harnesses before settling on this one. It works perfectly. The other harnesses we had tried were more vest-like; no matter how tight they were, all of my cats could slip out of them like it was a loose shirt. I only take them out in our yard, and whenever a car would drive down the road, if I wasn't holding on to them, they'd immediately dash out of the harness to hide. Now, THIS harness works perfectly with ALL of my cats. The straps stay in place and the stretchable leash makes it to where they can't jerk it around. They tried breaking out of it a couple of times with no success. They no longer attempt to. I noticed that with the other harnesses, they hated putting them on and it was a struggle every time. But with THIS harness, they're excited to put it on! They know that when I bring it out it's "outside time" and they wait patiently as I put it on them & adjust it to their size. They aren't bothered by it at all! We've had it for two years now and it's extremely durable – it'll last us for many more years. Highly recommend!

Bought a small size for 15 week old kitten, manage to adjust it pretty securely. I’m able to clip her mini tractive gps on the back and it’s comfortable enough that she runs, plays and sleeps in it. I’m still working on the leash training, though.

Wasn't sure how much success I'd have harness training a 4-year old Bengal cat, but she has taken to this without too much fuss. It's important to harness train cats in small steps to begin with...The cat will likely exhibit unusual behaviour at first, such as flopping on the ground or crawling on the floor or reversing in an effort to escape it, so make introductions short to begin with, no more than 5 minutes first time then all going well keep trying it each day gradually increasing the duration each time, making sure it's properly fastened and secure but allowing enough space to get two fingers under it so it's not too tight. The trick is to persevere and encourage the cat with treats and lots of petting and reassurance each time and try to engage them in play so that they develop a positive association with it.Within just a few days my cat was allowing me to put the harness on her without any fuss. After leaving the harness on her about an hour (during which time she mopped around in an apparent huff) I decided it was time to put the leash on her and take her into the garden. Once she had the outdoors to explore, along with me for security and reassurance, she took to it well and didnt try to escape. I have to say the leash that comes with the harness is also excellent, since the bungee prevents too much jarring or risk of injury if she bolts. A couple of times she did want to run, but mostly out of joy from having all the space to explore. The bungee leash was perfect for that, and once she's used to it, I will maybe switch to an extending chord leash to allow her to range a bit further while still staying safe.I'm confident after a few days training that I can now take her further afield and go on trips into the countryside without her freaking out and/or trying to escape. I was given the advice that tying a knot into the part of the harness where it fastens to a leash can help make it more difficult for the cat to escape, but I haven't found that I needed to do that. While this harness can be tricky to put on, requiring that it goes over the head then fastening on two sides, it is very secure once in position and adjusted to the right size for your cat. It should also be quicker to get used to than say a jacket harness, which may be easier to put on, but is also more restrictive. I'd previously tried a 'Voyager Step-In' jacket harness actually meant for small dogs, and she didnt take to it very well, freezing and flopping over almost as if she was having a seizure. I may work up to the jacket harness for certain outdoor conditions (winter for example), but the 'Come To Me Kitty' harness seems to be doing the job just fine, and compared to a jacket harness, it should quickly feel to the cat like it's not even there.Overall very happy with my purchase, and the cat seems happy too now that it's opened up a whole new world of outdoor adventures for her.
