Pour ceux qui décident d’utiliser très occasionnellement ce type d’outil, pour décoller des étiquettes, ou une petite zone peinture, décaper un petit morceau de bois, cet appareil est parfait. Il fera très bien l’affaire et surtout son travail. C’est un appareil qui est bien conçu, fabriqué en plastique, donc très léger et livré avec les accessoires habituels pour ce type d’appareil.

Works as intended, it did give me an initial scare as it was smoking first time I used it and turned it off. Possibly some glue residue? It’s been fine since. I wrap cars so I’m using this 5 days a week and it’s been great.

I just tried it first with some shrinking cable housing where you are supposed to apply 125°C (257°F); setting the gun at 130 with the flat funnel did nothing, I set it to 260 and the housing shrank as you would expecting, not too fast nor melting.I then used it at 260 on a smartphone to remove the glass battery cover since it is the same recommended temperature and it also worked very well.I have an IR thermometer but it wasn't able to give any meaningful reading directly on the gun, maybe the shiny metal messes up the measurement.
