I mostly buy Philips bulbs because they always last me a long time and give good quality light. I really like these specific bulbs because they become warmer yellow light as they dim - just like the old fillament bulbs did. I also find Philips LED bulbs are compatible with the widest range of dimmers. However, if a dimmer wasn't made for LED bulbs you may still run in to issues using it, it's just less likely with Philips bulbs.I marked them 4 out of 5 for energy efficiency because there's now ultra efficient LED bulbs available. Realistically though, all LED bulbs use modest amounts of electricity, and these ones have features (dimmable and warm glow) that the ultra efficient ones don't have yet, so they're still worth buying.
