TL;DR: Great ink, worth the price, but not necessarily good for everything.Pilot Iroshizuku Kon-peki is a very nice medium blue ink. It's not a dark blue, but it's not pale either. It's just a nice clean blue. It's pretty hard to describe something like ink in words, but you can easily find plenty of reviews about this one with a little Google search, and it should give you a good idea of the color and properties. As far as I can tell, it's pretty well-behaved on most of the papers I've tried it with, although, like other Iroshizuku inks, it can bleed and feather on more absorbent paper (ex: copy paper and the stuff you find in cheap notebooks). Then again, I've only had "trouble" with it when I put it in especially wet pens (trouble is a bit strong, it mostly just doesn't come out as clean as I would like). With something like a Lamy fine or extra-fine nib, or equivalent, it works perfectly and gives a good alternative to other kind of pens while still being neutral enough to be used in almost any setting. It's not waterproof, or at least not advertised as being waterproof, but it's enough to stay legible even if you drop some water on it, which is pretty good. The saturation is good, but not especially high, and the ink has a little red sheen to it, although it's more visible with broader/wetter fountain pens and on good ink-resistant paper (Rhodia, Clairefontaine, etc.).The price is kinda high compared to other ink brands (retail price is around 35$, but you can usually find it for around 25$ or less on Amazon), but the Pilot Iroshizuku inks are all very nice inks and they are among the most well-behaved inks on the market. Part of the price is probably also due to the packaging. Iroshizuku inks come in very nice glass bottle, nested inside a protective cardboard box with a nice silvery metallic finish and a simple label indicating the brand and color. Long story short, they look very good and make pretty gifts. I bought this ink in particular as a gift for my dad, and he's been happy with it since he got it. Also, if you're not ready to jump for a full bottle of the stuff, a little internet search will lead you to some online stores who sell small samples of ink (usually 2ml), which is a good option if you want to try a bunch of color without breaking the bank. Some other places also offer smaller bottles of this line of ink (15ml I think). I haven't seen them on Amazon yet, but they'll probably show up eventually.

Somehow, this bottle packages much nicer than my pilot custom823.It is a very premium bottle, and the design is also very good to make sure you can fill the ink all the way to the bottom. It just makes my desk looks better! As for the performance, it is an ink, so there is nothing special about that
