This a great toy that grows along with a child’s development and interest. It’s been interesting to see my daughter enjoy Plus Plus over the past year from 5.5yrs to 6.5yrs. There’s something deep going on intellectually when she plays with these, you can see her being challenged fine motor skill wise, creatively, and problem solving skills that serve as a precursor to geometry skills. She has no idea she’s learning, she just enjoys them, as do I. They’re satisfying to piece together, and excellent quality wise. She started with one dimensional pixel-like creations and has now moved on to three dimensional stuff. I love finding her deeply engrossed in playing with these with quiet, focused interest, which happens often. This is a great toy. My hubby and I often enjoy fiddling with them ourselves too! And they travel well - light weight, easy to clean, easy to make something quick with or set aside and work on more complex constructions. Just fun!As an aside, I highly recommend getting the larger set, as the more you have, the more creativity is possible.
