So far the 2 PNY brand ssd's which i have are working as intended. I have the 120g SSD for my OS and a 1TB ssd for my games and programs.People complain about the computer not recognizing the SSD - for mine all i had to do on my HP was to enter bios and confirm the SSD was plugged in and powered. Once i checked bios i did a hard restart of the computer and i was able to initialize the drive and format it with windows disk manager so i could start using it. if a person shuts down their PC installs the drive and then powers on to find their OS does not see the drive connected it might be because the shut down button is actually a "quick start" shut down which pre loads certain elements of the OS that may cause the new drive to not be seen. so doing a "restart" could relive this issue.People complaining about the short life span of their PNY drive. As with all SSD's each brand has a limit on its writing capability, so for normal people the life span of this brand should not be a problem, who are going to install games, music, pictures, programs, and use the system normally and then replace their computer after 3-8 years their should be no problems with the life span of the ssd- if your using the SSD for an industrial purpose, or in a server, or maybe video or c.a.d production type usages, or some type of work that has you saving and deleting 1000's of files a day then this SSD is not for you, maybe go with a more expensive brand
