We got one as a gift and one to keep, as I had no idea how Pokemon battled.This is a two player game as advertised.It’s fire vs water. Even my 5 yr old realised quickly the fire deck had more powerful averaged Pokemon while water was weaker overall until you get the gyradose (water dragon) which wins all battles easily in this game. It’s all about the shuffle, beat 3 Pokemon to win. The token is plastic unfortunately, coins are cardboard. Needs a better box or bag to keep this game in as the original box ripped easily.It was fun to learn and play, even my 10 yr old wanted to play this with his brother. Great starter for any fan!

Great Value and gift for beginners. My grandkids loved the cards they got (Easter gift). And they could't wait to sit and learn how to play.

It's great for a young kid and a all in one game but this is NOT the regular Pokemon game and can't be used interchangeably with it and vice versa. Not so cool to make a separate Pokemon card game from the regular one and not making it absolutely clear.
