This is a really interesting concept for a camera lens. Initially, I thought it was a manual focus lens, but it’s actually a “no-focus lens“. It has a fixed aperture of F 11 and basically everything is in focus from 1 meter to infinity with about 40% of the center of the frame being in focus. You can control the amount of light leak with the sliding ring on the lens. You can basically choose a lot of light leak or none at all, along with rotating the ring to choose where the actual light leak is in the image. In terms of real world use, it’s actually very simple to use since you’re not even focusing. you basically just make sure your subject is 1 meter or more away and take your picture or film your video. Also, the size of the lens is small and lightweight and fits great on your camera. I got the e-mount version of this and I’m using it on a Sony A7C. The overall functionality is great and the lens itself is an excellent value for the money. It’s definitely worth checking out for someone who’s looking for something new and different. It’s the kind of lens that can help you get out of a rut because it helps you to see things differently. Highly recommended.
