My wife was given a soft toilet by her hospital to prevent pressure sores due to her paraplegia. That seat lasted for years until the vinyl cover got torn. Bought this as a stopgap until we go back for her annual hospital appointment and get it repaired. This Polsi seat fitted perfectly in a few minutes and does the job, it's not 'squishey' soft but soft enough. The fittings and hinges I especially like, they are very robust and take all transferring stress from wheel chair to toilet seat without coming loose. The supplied fixing tool allows you to get plenty of purchase on the very cleverly designed tapered fixing nuts. This is just our personal experience of course but I would recommend this seat.

I purchased this item for my disabled daughter.Due to her physical and mental health (extreme OCD) she can spend hours on the toilet resulting in pressure sores.I have searched around for quite a while for a quality padded seat with metal fittings as the usual plastic fittings would not be sturdy enough for her movements on and off the toilet.This seat cost more than the average toilet seat but the extra cost is well worth it.The seat is extremely sturdy and was a doddle to fit.Yes the instructions were in German but don't let this put you off.There are picture fitting instructions and a QR code that links you to an online fitting video.The two back brackets have an angle on them (see photo) so you can fit them to move the seat further forwards or further back.I was inpressed that the seat came with a plastic tool that helps you tighten the screws (I used it to undo my old seat too).PROThe seat is very well made and sturdy.It has definately helped reduce my daughters pressure soresEasy to cleanNo rusty fittings so farHandy fitting tool.CONMy daughter reports that the padding has conpresssed a bit but this is only to be expected in my opinion.Overall I am pleased with this item and would recomend it
