There weren't any English reviews on this box at the time of writing, which is currently the largest box which is also thin (less than 70 mm) on Amazon which isn't crazy expensive.I have a very specific need: my service cavity is 50 mm, plasterboard is 15 mm and skim coat will be 3mm, paint possibly adds a further 1 mm. So max total depth for this to be flush is 69 mm. The plasterer will be able to increase the skim coat thickness near this box to 4mm without issue to make it properly flush. The box needs to retard fire entering the service cavity to meet fire regs. The base of the box is exactly 50 mm, the top is exactly 25 mm, there is a 5 mm overlap.The manufacturer doesn't state the type of plastic other than it self extinguishes - from the texture and smell, I'd say ABS with fire retardants added. The walls are a bit thin and when you're drilling through them to provide wire access holes, you'll need to take care not to crack the plastic. Some Italian reviewers reported rain ingress, note that there is a premanufactured weep hole at the bottom which if on top would likely allow rain entry. Any screws drilled through the back would need additional sealing to be waterproof, this isn't a design which keeps the fixing screws outside the inner compartment. The waterproof seal is thin and not the best, but adequate. It does only claim IP 56, not better, so I can't complain.For the money, it's not bad especially as even slightly larger boxes at the same depth are way more expensive. However, for £8 I'd like to have seen reinforced hole drill sites i.e. thicker plastic around the sides. I also think rubber grommets for screws at the back, and indeed actual fixing screws at the back aren't too much to expect for this money. Alas, prices keep going up, and what you get seems to keep going down.
