Sculpey UltraLight is het meest veelzijdige lid van de Polyform-klei-familie. UltraLight is licht en extreem zacht, maar bakt zo hard dat het niet barst of breekt, zelfs in grotere stukken. UltraLight blijft echter flexibel wanneer het dun wordt opgerold, dus het is ideaal voor papierambachten. Deze zachte, gemakkelijk te hanteren klei kan worden gebruikt om zo ongeveer alles te maken. UltraLight kan worden gebruikt als vulmiddel voor polymeerkleikralen, waardoor sieraden - vooral grotere stukken - licht en comfortabel blijven. Gebruikt om decoratieve accenten te creëren, kan de gebakken harde klei worden geschuurd, geboord, gepolijst en geverfd met acrylverf. Dit veelzijdige nieuwe product drijft zelfs, waardoor het perfect is voor zwevende kandelaars of badspeelgoed. Kerstversieringen maken die boomtakken niet laten doorzakken is een truc met elk ambacht. Nieuwe UltraLight is het perfecte medium voor ornamenten, vooral grote. UltraLight is een geweldige vervanging voor aluminiumfolie armaturen en biedt een gladdere basis voor kleiprojecten om rond te bouwen. Omdat het zo hard bakt dat het niet barst, zijn grotere beeldhouwprojecten eindelijk mogelijk met UltraLight foundations. Naast het mooi accepteren van verf, wanneer bedekt met Sculpey en Premo klei, hecht de nieuwe ultralichte klei chemisch samen met het afdekmateriaal om het uiteindelijke project nog sterker te maken. Sculpey UltraLight kan worden gekleurd door het te mengen met Sculpey III of Premo polymeerklei.
Bak op 275 F (130 C) gedurende 15 minuten per 1/4 inch (6 mm) dikte.

Es muy ligera y el color realmente es muy blanco a diferencia de otras. Se puede mezclar con otras arcillas para obtener otras tonalidades o colores

I was struggling to sculpt larger projects due to weight of clay, this is really good for building a foundation to build on top of and is much easier as smoother to work with than tinfoil.The only thing I don’t like about this is some parts are sticky and some parts are very dry, this means it sticks to your hands, when storing clay, I would keep this well away from coloured clays etc as the white will stick to other lumps of clay!I have got 3 sculptures of about 30cm in height out of one packet of this clay! (Bare in mind, I only made the base structures.

Sculpey Ultralight is a fabulous product that I use regularly in my polymer clay sculping projects. It is a very different consistency than normal polymer clay, so I don't recommend it for fine detail work. However, it's excellent for many other applications. It bakes up very lightweight but harder than normal polymer clay, so it's excellent for bulking out armature wire or aluminum foil structures that will be covered with normal polymer clay and re-baked later. It also has a fluffier almost foam-like consistency that works perfectly for creating details like marshmallows or cool whip in food items. However, my two absolute favorite applications are using it to make clouds or smoke by flaking/crumbling it and then pressing the pieces together, and for making bones by mixing it with ecru colored Sculpey Premo, because that creates a bone-like color, and the resulting clay mixture has a natural tendency to "crackle" a little bit on the surface to give the bones a realistic aged effect. I'm including a couple of photos of projects I've made that included clouds and bones made from Sculpey Ultralight to show what I mean.
