Really like these poochiebells. Bought a second one for in laws' place, and it's really obvious that these are better quality. Even the sound of the bells is different. Worth it. Our dog caught on to the bells really quick.

Our mini schnauzer got ringing the bells down within a month - so by the time he was 14 weeks old. Ever since he arrived, whenever we hit that 1 hour mark or so, we prepared for his little tiny bladder to be full and brought him over to the door, rang the bells for him, then opened the door. We would then put him outside where we had placed two (with the rest of the patio blocked off), and we would wait until he peed or pooed and then let him back in and praise him with and lots of baby talk and cuddles. As he grew, we would just keep a close eye on him and whenever he'd start sniffing, we'd bring him over to the door, ring the bells, then put him outside, etc. Whenever he'd have an accident, we'd give him a very stern "NO," bring him to the door, ring the bells, and leave him outside for a little bit (don't know if that was effective, but sometimes he'd be in the middle of peeing when we'd put him outside). Within two months, he got it down to 100%. He was ringing the bells himself with his paw or his nose, and we'd come over and open the door for him, he'd pee/poo and we'd let him back inside! It was amazing!!! The only times we'd end up with an accident were when he'd ring the bells, but we wouldn't get to him in time. He also learned to ring the bells more than once to get our attention. He'll hit them harder each time!Having our dog has been dreamy since, thanks to these bells. These bells made the training process SO MUCH EASIER. Bless whoever came up with these! This past winter, we all went to visit family in Korea and took these bells with us. At some relatives' houses, we put the bells up on a door. He went to ring the doorbells again to let us know. At some other houses, he'd just scratch at the door - but now he knew that he had to make some sort of noise at the door to get our attention to go out! Now at our new apartment, sometimes he rings the bell, other times he scratches, other times he barks ... but he's also old enough now that his bladder is more predictable.I especially encourage this to people who have or are thinking about getting a very young puppy. Start the training with this. This is SO helpful when the puppy's bladder is tiny and they have to go all the time.

These are my second set of these bells...my 10yr old cockapoo still rings them to go outside...the first ones went rusty ...had had them for 9 years ...bought cheap copies which were rubbish ..couldn't hear the bells ringing when I was in the other room ...so back to the originals ...can hear when my dog needs to go out again ..Don't waste your money ...buy the original not copies

It took my collie cross a couple of months to learn how to use this, but now that he has, it's invaluable. If he needs to pee, he just rings the bell with his nose and we can go open the door for him. A really useful idea that actually works.

The bell hangs over the handle of our back door. Every time we took our puppy outside, we would nudge the bells several times with her nose and paws, and we were careful that every member of our household followed this rule. It only took two weeks for our puppy to start ringing the bell herself, independently of us, and she's been fully house trained since. Great product, very easy to use and, with consistent training, it starts to work very quickly. Would highly recommend.
