Na het succes van onze Data Block USB-kabel, Data Blocker USB-adapter uit 2013 en de "SmartCharge" Data Blocker in 2015 hebben we nu onze nieuwste update uitgebracht. De PortaPow Data Blocker van de 3e generatie verbindt zich verder met het einde van je USB-oplaadkabel en maakt het mogelijk om je apparaat veilig op te laden zonder risico op virussen/hacking. Hij beschikt over onze SmartCharge-chip om het juiste laaddesign voor je apparaat te sturen, wat zelfs de laadsnelheid kan verbeteren als je oplader het verkeerde signaal stuurt. Het heeft nog steeds hetzelfde compacte formaat, zodat het aangrenzende stopcontacten niet blokkeert als je lader/computer meerdere naast elkaar heeft. Tot de verbeteringen behoren zichtbare veiligheid, laser-etsen, zero-waste-verpakking en een snaarlasso. Zie foto's voor meer details. De blokker lost geen laadproblemen op door een inferieure of extra lange kabel, een stopcontact met laag vermogen (bijv. bijvoorbeeld sommige autostopcontacten) of een apparaat dat een niet-standaard signaal vereist (bijv. sommige SatNavs/DashCams). Gebruik in deze gevallen een andere oplader of kabel. Apparaten die met Qualcomm Quick Charge, Samsung Adaptive Fast Charge, Motorola TurboPower of soortgelijke normen worden opgeladen, vereisen de activering van de gegevensoverdracht en een compatibele oplader, en laden daarom niet met extra snelle snelheden van normale USB-aansluitingen of met een gegevensblokkering.

Het verhaal achter deze datablocker noemen ze ook wel de Jack Juice Defender. Het komt er feitelijk op neer dat kwaadwillige software geen kans heeft zich te installeren wanneer je alleen maar wil laden en dat zou dan voor je telefoon gelden op gemanipuleerde oplaadstations, werd pas nog voor gewaarschuwd op rtl. Ook wordt deze datablocker als voordeel aanbevolen omdat je niet die irritante melding krijgt of je alleen wil laden of ook bestanden wil overbrengen met usb wanneer je hem in je laptop aansluit. Safety first en gemak dient de mens zou je zeggen maar echt nodig? Ik heb het zekere voor het onzekere genomen. You 2 decide.

These are great for stopping a data connection with the computer you're connecting to, they're particularly handy with my iPhone 6s and Macbook pro because I have tethering set up, so if I plug the iPhone in without these my tethering connection is used. I've also used them in the office to connect to colleagues computers when I just wanted to charge my phone.I thought they would improve the charge speed of the iPhone when connected to a Macbook but they don't as it seems that Macbooks already supply the full power to charge a phone even when a data connection is active. I found this out by using another very handy product from PortaPow which is the - this lets you see how much power a USB device is consuming and as you can see from the attached photos, with a data connection established the power draw is the same as when using the data blocker (note that the power draw goes up and down slightly, hence the difference). But regardless, these are very handy and do the job well. They're also very sturdy.One note - I tried using this in my Audi S4 and it didn't like it, it kept constantly reconnecting and got very confused, so it seems it won't work in all places.

El dispositivo cumple perfectamente con su función. Bloquea datos desde y hacia mi celular, por lo que puedo utilizar puertos USB en sitios públicos, o puedo conectar mi teléfono a computadoras compartidas sin que haya riesgo de que mi información se sincronice con esos equipos.
