While the case functions as it should it's not a great finish.The seams of the case have come loose. And the card compartments are too floppy causing the cards to fly out of my phone if I move it quickly

I was worried about this case due to all the reviews saying that it will not close well. I can put 3 cards in it and it stays closed perfectly and it is brand new. Leather will stretch over time and more will fit just fine if need be. To me this is an amazing case with only one drawback, the weight ! This thing is over 100 grams! I guess leather is just plain heavy. Besides that, I love this case. The feel is wonderful, I love how there is no large flap used to close it getting in the way. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Having had a Porter Riley case protecting my Google Pixel 7 Pro phone since 2022 and been delighted with it, I naturally opted to purchase one for my new 9 Pro XL. It arrived today (29th Aug 2024) but I shall be returning it. The phone fits in the rubberised/plastic holder just fine although the rim of the surround sits too high above the phone screen (great for protecting the screen when placing it down on a surface without the front flap covering it but it feels too raised.The biggest issue however is that the case itself is far too wide. When the case is closed, there's a gap of around half an inch to the left side of the phone. The gap is so big, you can clearly see it and in fact you can push a pencil through it. This makes the phone feel especially bulky and unweildy. I am disappointed with this particular case and I shall look elsewhere but the one thing that I do like about Porter Riley's cases is that the clasp is magnetic therefore removing the need for a throw over clip. This aids getting your phone out of your pocket without it catching on your pocket. Nonetheless, if PR make the case much narrower, I shall purchase another one but until then, it's going back in place of a different manufacturer, most likely Torro.
