Posi-tapÃ?® Connectors, 12-18 Gauge draad door Posi-Products

All can say its quick, easy, and clean; none of the clumsy wire taps on the market

I’ve used regular posi twists and one posi tap on my car and its problem free after 5 years and over 140,000 miles later so I knew these would be helpful for headlight installThis can accomodate 3 (maybe even 4) 20 gauage (I think) wires through the connection end really well and holds a good connectionOnly thing I encountered is if you plan on using 18 gauge to tap into make sure the tap goes through, we decided on a different wire on a marker light harness since it wouldnt have the headlight wires all tangled up on later bulb changes and I think the tapped wire was 18 possibly 20 gauge, the one tap missed the wire and pushed past the side of it and it took a bit of troubleshooting but we figured it outSo if you plan on tapping an 18 gauge try to hold the guide end so wire being tapped centers better, other than that the other 3 connections tapped flawessly and I’m glad such a reliable product (which doesnt cut the entire wire insulation like a briefcase tap) existsreusable, reliable, and a genuine example of good engineering, I would recommend to anyone for needing a tap because even when you need to remove it the hole should seal up and even if it doesnt the hole is small enough that a small dab of epoxy will repair the wire insulation

These connectors work as advertised. I was slightly skeptical but after installing them I would recommend them to anyone. I used to work as an aircraft electrician and I usually splice wires by soldering. I'm done it that way for years and it really doesn't bother me. I decided to try these out on a radio install. I was so happy to have made that decision because bad weather interrupted my job and I had to stop halfway through. The ability of these places to be easily unscrewed to disconnect after installation was a bonus I didn't anticipate. I had to move the vehicle during a storm in the middle of the install. If I had sodered the wires instead of using these connectors I would have had to cut the wire instead of just simply unscrewing. Highly recommend.

Posi-tap connectors are a must when doing electical work. I used them when I was installing a kenwood amplifier and subwoofer in my BMW. At first I was using some of those crimp tap connectors typically found at the hardware store but sometimes they wouldn't tap into the wire right. I saw these posi-tap connector on Amazon and said to myself "i'll try these". They install without any tools and tapped in wires quite well. When compared to crimp connectors, they are easier to install and more reliable.

First time using these and I must say, they are so much nicer than messing with other splice methods
