This works great for lighter to medium weight picture frames. Takes a few minutes to set up and square but is ideal for holding a frame together while glue dries. I taped the insides of the corner brackets so as not to mar the finish on my frame. Will come up with a more durable solution for this when I use it next. Wonderful product does exactly what it is supposed to do.

I bought this band clamp to use to hold together a small box I was gluing up. The clamp is very easy to use and does the job perfectly. The positions of the corner pieces are totally and easily adjustable and the clamp provides plenty of clamping pressure evenly around the object.I have a similar Pony-brand clamp made by Jorgenson. This clamp is slightly larger overall than the Pony. Quality seems to be very similar. The Pony clamp has aluminum strap toggles whereas this clap has heavy plastic toggles. Both work fine. The Pony is also about twice the price of the Powertec.I made the mistake of purchasing a different clamp that uses a ratchet system instead of the screw handle of the Powertec to tighten the strap. It is terrible - almost impossible to use especially when trying to keep the materials you're clamping aligned - and a total waste of money. The tightening system on this clamp and others like it is vastly superior.The main problem with this type of clamp is how to contain the excess strap and keep it from falling all over the place and getting tangled up. This one uses a small spindle and a rubber band to keep the excess rolled up neatly. It's an effective and simple solution. My Pony clamp uses the same system. Of course, the rubber band isn't going to hold up forever, but it will be an easy fix when it eventually breaks.At this price, this is a no-brainer. It works. It's cheap. It's good.
