Every watercolor artist on YouTube is talking about these watercolor brush pens. So, of course, I had to try them. They’re spectacular for doing washes. Mind you, I’m working on 8x11” and 9x12” canvases, and these brushes can apply a wash fairly quickly. They also hold enough water to get the job done with one simple refill. Mind you, the brush heads screw on and off backwards, righty tighty most definitely does not work for them, more lefty is righty, righty becomes lefty etc etc. but other than that little oddity, these things function perfectly. Fill them with colored water and wash away. I also use them to “activate” my paint in the half pans. I no longer spray, then have to sop up the overspray! That alone is worth the price of admission. Speaking of price, less than a buck a piece, you can’t beat that price with a stick! Thanks again Amazon, at the rate I’m buying art supplies, I’m gonna have to take a second mortgage on the house but you got me covered!

Love these watercolor pens, I have made elaborate watercolor paintings with these, and I have also used one with white gel food coloring and water to map out some designs on sugar cookie decorations. Love love love these, especially that they come with many empty pens. The cleaning is not bad at all, just run them through water to get most of the color/dye out, and then let them soak in the sink in a cup or a bowl. Rinse again and they're good as new!
