Ayant testé d'autres modèles, cette pince est est de meilleure qualité que les précédentes que j'ai pu avoir.Pour les non initiés à ce type de cosses, il existe des pinces à 4 pans et d'autres à 6 pans. Celle ci est à 6 pans et je pense qu'il est préférable d'utiliser du 6 pans dans tous les cas.

I bought the four jaw version of this tool to complete a wiring job some time ago and was very pleased with the tool - it has performed in every way that I wanted it to, from the intended use within electrics/electronics down to replacing the ferrules on bicycle brake/gear cables.Using the correct tool to tighten ferrules down really makes the job easier and the results better.I was intrigued when I saw these six jaw crimping tools - the only weakness that I found with them was that the 4 jaw crimping tools naturally resulted in square crimps and many of the terminals I was connecting to were round. Due to the old adage about square plugs and round holes, this sometime results in a compromise in order to make the terminal fit.This tool arrived in very good time and I got to testing it straight away. I'm very impressed and those extra two jaws seem to make all the difference.The tool itself operates in exactly the same way as the 4 jaw crimper - there's a ratchet in the handle so you can tighten enough to grip the ferrule without clamping it, making assembly easier.The bit that really impressed me in comparison to my old tool was that the 6th jaw makes the crimp much tighter on a single crimp. Where I was finding that I needed to crimp with the 4 jaw tool twice in order to make a tight connection, this tool succeeded with a single crimp. This also means that a tighter crimp is produced with less effort as you're having to compress the ferrule less due to it crimping on 6 sides instead of 4.I've added a couple of photos to show the improved hexagonal shape of the crimp - it comes across a little better on the larger ferrules.I've bought a few Preciva tools now and they seem to consistently hit the mark on tool quality for excellent prices. I'd recommend this tool entirely on the basis of it's incredible value.As seen in the photo, it comes with a good set of ferrules, so you'll be getting all you need in one box. I find the molding of the handle very comfortable too, which makes the tool really nice to use when using repeatedly.
