Got myself one of these willing to avoid spending too much on a turntable. The thing worked great for half an hour, 1kg works fine but I doubt this thing could turn properly with anything above 2kgs on it. But now there is a bad connection with the electric contact slot, I guess I could use the battery but the required one is not only rare but also as expensive as the item itself. Conclusion, 20€ for half an hour of use is not exactly cheap, and now I find myself having to buy a professional one anyway, which I should have done right away, lesson learned…. Avoid these small turntables, for photos/videos anyway, the build quality is incredibly cheap, they’re just a waste of money.

OK, a review, for you. This is an excellent item for my purposes. My use is for displaying models and die-cast cars that I have restored.I purchased the one that is 8kg in BLACK, no additional base plates. For those moaning reviewer’s that don’t read, IT DOES NOT COME WITH THE 18650 3.7v LITHIUM BATTERY AS STATED ON THIS ADVERT. It is only required if you want to have it as a portable option. It works perfectly fine on a 5.1v power source from a laptop, computer, tablet or phone charger. Be careful of using high amp ‘fast’ chargers, like the 15 amp one I have for my Samsung Ultra Pro Tablet. Stick to the port on your laptop, computer or a maximum of 2.1 amp USB port/phone charger. I can GUARANTEE it turned a 7.5kg load on a Samsung 4.8volt 2.0 amp phone charger!!!!!!!I will say, it does NOT like turning ‘off-centre’ loads, it sticks. Get the item centred nicely and it rotates with no issues.I wanted a mirror surface quality reflection from the base plate but be careful of the plain CHINGLISH being used. ‘Mirror’, to most of those whose first language is NOT English, are prone to using this word for a ‘metallic’ reflection by way of a sticker, polished metal (even THIS Seller states POLISHED as the finish type but goes on to say, “…white rotating Turntable with mirror glasses surface…”. What can be believed?) or, even a plasticote mirror. The plasticote mirror has a very good mirror-like reflection, if you don’t mind slight distortions. So, what’s the answer? I here you say. Well if you are looking for a true mirror quality reflection for whatever your display needs are, then look no further than a round glass mirror. On eBay.co.uk I purchased this item - Round Mirrored Glass Candle Plate 7.8 inches in Diameter. It turned out to be exactly the same size as this turntable. WHOO HOO!!! This, for me, is an excellent ‘fix’ for my purposes.OK, now to the item. It actually has 4, not 3, angled oscillating rotation modes – 45, 90, 180 and 360 degrees, (use ASA button to step through the 4 modes). The 360 degree does a full rotation and a bit, before it reverse back the other way. The 45, 90, and 180 degree, do just that and then reverse. It will do this at any of the 3 selectable speeds (use SR button to step through the 3 speeds). Press the R/L button (when you press this button it will start to rotate, if you want it to go the other way jus press it again) and it continues rotating, left or right, without oscillating. I tested the 3 speeds of my particular turntable, with NO loads, getting these results for revolutions per minute – speed 1 was 2.8 rpm, speed 2 was 4.5 rpm and speed 3 was 6.2 rpm.Free postage cost for me, £20.99 for this turntable, £7.60 for the round plate glass mirror and £9.99 for the 18650 3.7volt Lithium battery, (which, by the way, can be charged in the turntable if you DON'T switch on the turntable. You will have a red light for charging and it will go green when fully charged). Total cost was £38.58. This was acceptable for a true mirror 8 inch turntable as I was willing to pay up to £50.00. (No apologies for this full review and suggested workarounds). NUFF SAID.Please see attached pictures for your lookeesee pleasure.
