Prismacolor 962 Premier Kleurloze Blender Potloden, 2-Count

A great blender! I've tried several in the past, including Derwent and Caran D'ache, but this one actually works better for me! It works equally well on wax and oil based pencils, both hard and soft. It bleeds smoothly without leaving too much of a waxy thickness and has an almost matt finish-unlike other blenders, which I found to be either too dry or two waxy and almost greasy. Used it on both smooth and toothy paper-good on both. It's also very buildable: you can blend lightly to leave a feeling of texture if that's what you're going for. Or you can blend thoroughly to create a smooth, cartoon like feel. It's actually better than the Premier Prismacolor pencils, which have an issue of breaking often. So far the blender has been holding a tip and no breakage inside the casing. It feels almost like a Faber Castel pencil in that regard. I've read some review mentioning it may leave a dark mark or smear the black ink in some coloring books. Well yes, it can, but so does the Caran D'ache one. Any blender may smudge, that's what they do, after all. If you have a coloring book that smudges easily just stay away from the inking: get into those tiny edges with a well sharpened coloured pencil. And yes, it transfers whatever colour it has picked up, so make sure to clean the tip before moving to a different shade, especially if it's lighter. Just draw a line on a clean paper (I have one by my side whenever I'm colouring) until the tip is clean. You can easily see if it has dirt on it.

They work well not only with Prismacolor pencils but also with Derwent Drawing colored pencilsand probably with any wax based colored pencils
