well, for the price, what can I say!!I can only assume it was at a colossal discount because it was a german version with german instructions and a noddy plug. I downloaded the english instructions and changed the plug.Simply, this is a six channel mixer with Brit style EQ on each channel - a stereo bus and an fx module with 100 effects - for the detail, read the blurb. It is a metal build, without feet, so it scratches the blue sides, a quality mains connection - screw type - so it can't pull out and a serious psu and long cable. It has a plethora of pots to tweak and these are okay if a bit wobbly so don't drop your telecaster on them. The instructions are brief and not well laid out in english and cover ALL the different types of mixer in the stable - it's okay if you understand mixers - if you don't - phone a friend. The input stages are analogue - this gives the guitar a really nice mellow sound and improved my Trio band output significantly. The rest appears to be digital from the supplied schematic. It can take a keyboard and midi processor and also has cd i/o that you can send to a computer or to your control room/ monitor. The FX does NOT have USB, the version that does costs a lot more money. It has external FX send and return as well as its own FX.The internal fx - 100 of them - cover delay, reverb, chorus, flanger, phaser, echo (reflections), gated/ reverse, pitch shift and combinations of two - delay/ phaser - flanger/ reverb and so on.They are not earth shattering - more subtle - well it is a mixing desk - not an ME-80 - but are perfectly good. HOWEVER, you need to have your input levels high (so the fx level light comes on) otherwise the fx applied is negligible as it doesn't have enough signal to work with. You need your input levels high (above unity) and your final mix low to get the best fx.I plugged my band trio mixer output into one channel, the trio guitar output into the other and then output to my Blackstar. The Trio band output -bass and drums could be significantly rebalanced using the EQ to give a much more rounded, fuller sound, and then using the inbuilt fx I added ambience to give a richer, live feel. the Trio looper goes into the guitar input, again improving the sound and then the live guitar - going via the Trio FX send and return, playing over it. With some plugging bits in here and there, the live guitar could go into a different input giving even more control over your sound. Its noise levels are very low to non existent and I haven't managed to distort anything yet, and my home studio set up gets one step closer.A Citronics or Mackie or A&H this is not, but a behringer, ammoon it is.Research has found it is German design - so solid, if not earth shattering and probably a part copy of another make, but I really like the Brit style input EQ, the plethora of FX and the sheer number of inputs and outputs for such a small unit. Even at full price, it is well worth a look.
