File this under "one of my best purchases, why didn't I do it sooner".Full disclaimer: this is the first time I have bought a heated clothing product like this so I didn't know what to expect and can't compare to others. I can only comment on how it works for *me*.I went for this fleecy one because so many of these warmers are padded synthetic-down type items, clearly designed to go OVER your clothes, not under; and I wanted something I could wear close to my skin (e.g. over a tshirt, but under a coat).This is actually a really good fleece in its own right. I've been wearing it with my regular fleece (either under or over, over is more comfortable) and even without the heat, it really helps to make you feel toasty.As for the heat, it's a useful addition and you can certainly feel it. There are three areas: back and two front side around chest height. In my case they don't always feel even - I tend to feel the left chest side more, but if I gently press the right side to my body it is actually just as warm. So, I think this variation is to do with the way it sits on my body. It's not an issue, merely an observation.I don't feel the back quite so much, either, but again, most likely due to the way it lies on the body.But let's be honest - it's not necessary to actually feel the heat directly on your skin. At the end of the day, as long as you are wearing this under something else, it's pumping energy under your coat and that's helping to keep you warm. It's more a case of not expecting to feel like you are lying in a warm bath totally surrounded by evenly distributed heat.I recently spent about 5 hours standing on a railway station at 1C and this helped to keep me warm. In fact, using it over a thin base t-shirt, then this, then a light fleece, then coat, I didn't use any heat for the first couple of hours. After that I used the heat. I used it for about 3 hours on the medium and low settings, turning it off for 10 mins or so once in a while, to preserve battery (I didn't know how long it would last), but in the end it lasted that duration and used no more than 50% battery, which was a pleasant surprise.On that note:It's amazing that this comes with the power pack for the price and it's a decent capacity. Obviously the designers have to compromise between run time and weight. The battery pack is located in a zipped pocket on the left side and of course its weight does mean it pulls the vest down to one side slightly (I think may this is why I feel heat in the left more than the right). It's not uncomfortable or outrageously out of kilter, but you obviously have to accept this and get used to it. I guess it's like putting a phone (or a battery pack ;-) ) in your pocket.Speaking of which, i wouldn't say its fiddly to get the battery in the pocket, but it's a bit like inserting a USB cable, which - as quantum physics dictates - always takes 3 attempts. It's a bit like that. Just requires a bit of "shimmying" to get it in, but honestly its satisfactory. It is supplied with a right angled USB connector cable on the pecket which is long enough to attach easily, BUT, i feel the right angle is the wrong way round: when connected to the pack the cable sticks out to the side of the pack, rather than over the top of it, so in my view it just increases the overall size of the pack+connector and makes it a little more vulnerable to being bent. However, once connected and tucked away, you can forget about it.My only other niggle is I got no instructions on heat settings - there's red, blue and light blue, in that order as you cycle through. I concluded that it goes from hottest to coolest, but there was no paperwork to confirm this. To mee it seems back to front, but in fact my heated car seats work the same way.Despite these niggles I'm still giving this 5 stars because overall it does what it should, is easy to user, comfortable, good looking (well, looks normal, I guess) and is a great addition on a cold day.As I say, I wish I had bought it sooner

J'ai acheté le gilet pour une activité en extérieur. Première utilisation ce week-end, le prix est quand un peu élevé.Déjà une très bonne impression à l'ouverture du colis, le gilet est un sac ce qui représente un gage de qualité.A l'ouverture, bonne surprise, la qualité est la, couleur agréable, bonne couture et livré avec une batterie.Chargement de la batterie puis test le samedi après midi, température extérieur 7°.J'ai mis le réglage sur la température la plus faible, une sensation agréable au cou, on ressent bien la partie chauffante du dos. Test du dimanche, température 4°, cela fonctionne toujours aussi bien.Très content de l'achat pour mon usage principal, je vais le prendre cette hivers pour le ski.Une somme importante à mettre pour l'achat, mais je recommande le produit.

Funziona bene,scalda il giusto,3 opzioni di temperatura,esteticamente bello.Per ora nessun problema,anche la taglia corrisponde.

Die PROSmart Heizweste erfüllt die von mir gestellten ,,Ansprüche" voll und ganz. Sie ist sehr leicht und passt ausgezeichnet. Was ich absolut Top finde, ist das der Kragen auch Heizelemente hat und dadurch der Hals schön warm gehalten wird. Die Weste wird MIT !!! AKKU geliefert. Von mir aus, absolute Kaufempfehlung!MfG.

I bought this to use on our boat because it can be re-charged using the "cigarette lighter" plug-in. I bought an extra battery, because I wanted to be able to continue to use it while charging the other. Haven't timed it, but lasts a number of hours on one charge.
