Die Bedienungsanleitung, in deutsch ist schon sehr dürftig, von der Verarbeitungsqualität kann man nicht meckern, ist sehr wertig gefertigt. Wäre die Beschreibung etwas ausführlicher, und die Übersetzung ins Deutsch besser wären es 5Sterne

This does give what appears to be accurate north and is relatively easy to read but it is heavy. You can use plastic ones that are just as accurate that aren't as blocky and heavy to carry in your pocket. It does seem almost bomb proof if you are rough on things.

This device is so well made, heavy, and complicated that it would make a great present for someone who wants an impressive paperweight and is no danger of getting lost in the woods because their outdoor activities are limited. I can think of several guys who would be delighted to have it. However, serious outdoor enthusiasts may find the level of accuracy not worth carrying around the weight of it.

Prostar Hiking Compass arrived nicely packaged and without damage. I did not find any scratches or blemishes on the compass prior to use. It has a good weight to it and feels strong enough to take plenty of abuse on the trail. It points to magnetic north quickly and without any snag points after shaking or moving. The compass is easy to read and the inclination fold out is laser etched instead of a sticker, allowing for repeated accuracy even if the compass gets weathered. The manual is very detailed as well, allowing for quick function and wayfinding knowledge. I am pleased with this compass and although it is a little bit heavy for my daily pack, it is great for my camping pack!
