It's just on/off and only on when pressing down. Works really well with anything that has an ungrounded power supply like a Dremel or those mini lathes etc.Made my hobby allot safer.

Works as expected - press down to activate, lift foot to deactivate. A must have if you use the 12v Rotary Tool. Makes working with them more intuitive and far safer.
