Purchased some of this soluble interfacing to try a new technique; after saving up yarn and fabric cut-offs for a while; this stuff is wonderful for making crazy-stitched embroidery projects; I just folded a piece evenly, stuffed it full of scraps, pinned it and then spent ages stitching all over it on my sewing machine. Then I just threw it in with a low-temperature laundry load to fully dissolve the interfacing.It is very sturdy before dissolving, and can be worked with easily, does not readily rip nor tear, just don't get it wet 'til you're ready and you're fine; it dissolved fully after one wash (I'm sure hand-washing would also do the job, but I was doing laundry anyway and it makes sure it's all gone and no stiffness remains). Like magic, really! (Or, more accurately, science) ;)I found that 1 packet of this was sufficient to create a wide cowl scarf; I wish it came in larger single quantities, but it can be sewn together if purchased in multiples in order to make bigger projects. I'm turning my thoughts toward garments, rugs and wall hangings using this crazy-stitch technique, which is also reducing the waste from my other projects, so all in all very impressed with product and results!
