My cousin paints professionally and recommended this brush for painting my kitchen cabinets. I must say this is a great brush for the task. It is super soft if you can get used to that and works great with Benjamin Moore Advance and Sherwin-Williams Pro Classic Allkyd paints leaving no brush marks!

Varnished an oak kitchen island, had heard of Purdy is expensive. However if you need a quality finish use this.Washed well will last a lifetime. Not a loose bristle is sight and smoothest finish I could want.

This brush has helped me put a great polyurethane finish on multiple projects over the past couple months. I have had almost no problem with bristles coming loose and have used mineral spirits to clean it after each use. Then I clean it with warm soapy water and rinse. Would definitely purchase again!

Compared to other Purdy and Hamilton Perfection brushes this brush is small, thin and lightweight. Well made delivering a fine finish with suitable materials. Quite expensive but if it lasts a long time will be value for money.

I recently had a painting project to do in our new garden room, so I needed a paint brush to cut in the corners and joints of a bare plaster ceiling, and to also apply a vinyl silk finish to the skirting boards. This 2in brush is a joy to use, it doesn’t loose any bristles, it leaves a lovely fine finish on the paint and it’s easy to clean. These Purdy’s come with a premium price tag, but I can see this one of mine lasting for many years if I look after it. I have to say that I’m a Purdy convert and will definitely be investing in a few more in the near future. If you take a pride in your decorating then treat yourself to one or two of these Purdy brushes, they’ll save you a lot of hassle (as in you won’t frustratingly ’lose’ bristles from your brush) and you’ll achieve a lovely smooth finish to your paintwork.
