QP3D's Ruined Citadel Collection features some very nice pieces, made of good quality PLA and at better prices than most plastic gaming scenery. All the sets in the Ruins collection match each other architecturally, allowing them to be combined to make an entire ruined citadel. This particular one is identical to the arched cloister section that comes with QP3D's "Battle Tower Pillars Building" and, as such, it can be very useful to those wishing to extend that set's aerial walkway. Smaller gaming miniatures can lurk beneath the arches as well as stand on top of the ruin.Construction is very simple, consisting of the top section plus the two arched sides. Primer applies perfectly to the PLA (I use Vallejo surface primer) and any decent acrylics of choice can be used for painting. (I use Vallejo Game and Reaper Master Series). The cute Half-Demon sisters in the first image are a 32mm and a 28mm figure respectively, to give some scale. The second image shows assorted QP3D Ruin elements combined - this one is at the front on the left, with the sisters in blue on it again, a second identical piece running off front to back to the side of the tower behind it.

Good scenery for tabletop games can be a little hard to find in my mind. Most is overpriced for what you get and is often very out of scale to the modelels. This though seems to hit that sweet spot of being reasonable priced but also fit for purpose. It fits into a game of 40k really well and provides a lot of fun tactics for your units. Painting it is also really fun as there is a lot of detail to get into, which is another area a lot of other terrain lacks in for me.However, it's not all perfect here. As the model is 3D printed, you can see a lot of stepping or ridges up the length of the structure. This isn't so bad on the sides as is covered up a lot by paint, but on the top of the bridge the ridges are so pronounced it's like waves. The only way I could fix this was to use a lot of texture paints and flock to cover it up, this is great if you want to go for the ancient ruins aesthetic, but not if you want something to fit into a cityscape.Overall though I still think this is a great addition to any tabletop game, no matter which you play. The ridges from the 3D printing process are disappointing, but they are manageable. I still think this is a great piece of scenery that I'm happy to own and recommend.

Exactly as shown in the product listing. It would be advisable to paint it for best effect.I'm not 100% sure about the swirls on the top and the lack of 5ft squares but then that's on me because again it looks exactly as shown. The price isn't currently listed but I think £10 would be a reasonable price and £15 at the limit of what I'd be willing to spend to acquire this
