I got these for our washing machine and connect to a handled valve to turn off after each load. After having a rubber hose break and flooding the house, I installed a hot/cold shutoff valve along with stainless steel hoses. These feel solid and should last. Comes with a plastic wrench that slides over each nut, making it convenient to tighten.

This is a mixed review, and I'll have to say I was disappointed that these were NOT standard washing machine hoses as listed in the product description.That's partly 'my bad' for not converting the listed metric dimensions to SAE measurements.They're 15" long, with small connectors, and not full size washing machine hoses.On the plus side, they're very well made (5 stars for construction and quality).The braided hoses are perfectly made, sealed, and crimped.The slip-on thumb screw tighteners slide from end to end, and that would make connecting easier. A crescent wrench would complete the connection, but the slip-on thumb tighteners make turning the connection nuts easy.The threads on the brass connectors are smooth and burr-free.The silicone packings (washers, to some) are fitted well, and they feel like they'd make a good leakproof connection.Perhaps these would be usable on a compact type washer, or as fill lines for some non-standard faucets, but they're specialty items, so my advice is to check the dimensions for your application.Overall, they're quality pieces, but the product description of "washing machine hoses" was not applicable for my use.
