I got these to put up a screen in a roof window, even though they are big and seemed to have a smart mechanism to hold, they didnt. But there is a trick that works for ALL suction cups, you put a bit of oil and the (smooth) surface and it will hold. I liked that it has a hook and a part that sticks out that allows me to hang something with a loop, because of the angle it would slip off the hook.
