Röhm 7194 Boormachine-bankbankschroef BSH, maat 2, 80 mm bekbreedte, kwaliteitsuitvoering voor doe-het-zelvers

I received it together with Berger + Schröter 60428. Compared both and found that Berger + Schröter 60428 is bigger (100 vs 80). But the accuracy, stability are less good than the Röhm 7194. 7194 has grinded clamp plates while the 60428 has more rough (pressed-plate-like with some pre-processing) clamp plates . The clamp plate of the 7194 has a better fit than the 60428 and it runs smoother and straight when tightening. Only when tightening a piece in the edge the clamp will clamp slightly in a angle. The 60428 is also a little too big for my small drillpress (FERM1025) compared to the 7194. The 80mm is fine but I would prefer to have it 5mm bigger. The 60428 is more heavy and both have a grinded flat bottom plate which is good. So even the bigger size of the 60428 make it stable on the drillpress bench without falling off the edge. The 7194 fits better to the drill table due to its smaller size (more easy to find positions to fit the screw holes for fixing). Another positive point of the 7194 is that there is a groove grinded on top of the clamp that can clamp a plate flat on top. This is not available on the 60428. (need to be placed on the bottom slide part of the clamp). The 7194 has this extra groove grinded on top. The 7194 has only 1 vertical reference groove while the 60428 has 3. Only the much more expensive versions of Röhm (100mm+) have these as well. So that is a drawback as well as well as the price which is slightly higher than the 60428. If size matters and accuracy doesn't so much and no need to screw-fix the clamp on the drilltable, probably the 60428 is better. But overall I prefer the 7194 for the smaller and more accurate work.
