Love this mic stand, its hold the mic where i need it and doesnt droop randomly like others i have used, its not super stiff but it is very sturdy, its funtions a bit better than expected, im not a huge fan of the RODE logo as its always on camera and im not sponsored by them. Im sure you could cover it. A+ for form and function. I bought it when it was on sale so at that point it was a good value. i mounted mine to the front of my desh as it wont clear the top of my 27" monitors and is not low profile.

I've used a few other cheaper/budget microphone stands and as you can expect, they break or just really don't feel good to use and just add problems. I bought this out of frustration since the market was such a pain to find a midground since I couldn't figure out what was cheap because low quality and what was expensive because high quality, a lot of things had mixed reviews and just didn't seem like good products. So I stumbled on this, knew RODE was an established brand and just pulled the trigger to be done with the hunt. The built quality is fantastic, very sturdy with nice little features like different mounts and cable ties along the arm, it's handled everything I've thrown at it and beyond it being almost TOO strong and not staying at the level I want so I have to weigh it down a bit I've had no problems. I'd definitely recommend if you have the money to throw at it and are sick of trying to find the one-off reasonably priced high quality mic stand that doesn't seem to exist.

This thing is hands down the greatest mic arm that exists. I've tried many.My only complaints are:1. I wish the arm itself would set into the clamp a bit deeper than it does. If you work or use it in a high traffic position where you have to move it all the time, someone may knock it out (though I have yet to) especially when getting out of your chair it would be easy to accidentally lift it a couple centimeters right out of the clamp. But despite that seeming pretty sus, so far no issues there. I'm just careful.2. The long part of the clamp that holds the base structure to the screw is so close that only certain desks are going to work. For instance if you have a desk whose base has any other joining piece underneath the front or side ends, you're going to have a bad time since you can't create any distance. The arm has to be clamped to the very edge of the desk with no adjustment for depth.3. The metal piece used to twist the clamp screw from below is a bit too thin and has nothing on the tips to make turning it easier. Expect to cut into your fingers a good deal when tightening.Despite those little gripes, the arm itself is perfect. I've never had an arm that stays EXACTLY where you set it for however long you leave it there (I sometimes go months without moving it) and feels so strong and smooth. There are no annoying bits that stick out at all, and it comes with 2 velcro wraps to keep your mic cord out of your face. It will not lose strength over time even if you leave it super extended. I'm using a blue yeti with mine which isn't particularly heavy but certainly not light, and I've never had any issues or worries adjusting it or getting it where I want it to be.Truly incredible and worth the price.
