I'm using this wireless thermometer for our family's swimming pool. It reads 07 C higher than actual, so I adjust for this. The daily min-max temps are interesting.Others have complained the o-ring seals are flimsy; I have no concerns about them.Out of the box, the main station didn't work. Raddy resolved the problem: HIGHLY responsive and effective customer service!

I wanted a device to read the temperature in my koi pond without me having to go out and check a device physically. This fits the bill perfectly. The receiver sits on the wall indoors (it has a wall hook recess, but no stand) and receives the temperature from the transmitter in the pond. The receiver also shows the time, the temperature and humidity in its location and an alarm (why?). I love how it illuminates the display for a few seconds if you just touch the top. The pond temperature is clearly highlighted by being in a blue wavy background which actually looks like water.Setting it all up is a bit of a challenge and I urge you to read ALL the instructions before you start. If you’re a bloke, you’ll probably ignore me, but trust me, it makes it easier. You need 2 AAA batteries for the receiver and 2 AA’s for the transmitter (none of which are supplied).To open the transmitter to insert the batteries, first remove the little locking tab by turning it 90 degrees anti-clockwise. Next, use the 2 removal tools to unscrew the unit. Note the larger one MUST be the right way up and it shows the direction in which to turn it. Fit the batteries and BEFORE closing it, set and note the channel (1-3) with which it will communicate with the receiver AND the desired scale (C/F)Now screw it back together, using the tools to ensure it aligns the holes in which to replace the locking key, which also serves as a point for the supplied nylon tether.Finally, you need to pair the transmitter and receiver. This can take up to 3 minutes before you know if it has succeeded or failed. At which point, reset and try again if necessary.Now, do not lose the tools or the instructions. You’ll surely need them when it’s time to change the batteries.I have shared, as honestly as I can, my experience with this (quite complex) but superbly designed little item. I only hope it lasts !!

This works great. I am impressed with the connection and how steady it is. I have our receiver inside about 50 feet away and it has not lost connection to date. My last one of these (different brand), stopped working after a few weeks. Additionally, the display on the inner unit is bright, colorful and pleasing to the eyes. I highly recommend this.
