Overall the Raddy RF750 plus is a big improvement over the RF750 and its digital versions. Since the AM antenna is external they managed to make this radio even smaller. This version is metal instead of plastic which gives it a solid feel. The speaker is actually very good and gets louder than you'd expect. It has 2 buttons, a toggle switch and a rotary dial so each has several functions and you will have to read the manual which is decent. This radio also uses the phone app which is really nice. The regular RF750 does not. The bluetooth works well and connects easily. AM/FM reception is pretty good. Weather reception is low volume. SW reception is okay, but like the older model you will get birdies. I love the looks of this radio. I'm glad Raddy didn't make this model with a built in, non replaceable battery which seems to be a trend.

Beim RF750 Plus handelt es sich um ein Rebranding des HRD-777 für den Vertrieb durch Radioddity. Die gleiche Vertriebsstrategie gab es auch schon beim Vorgängermodell RF750 (HRD-700).Schon beim Auspacken fällt das im Vergleich zum RF750 deutlich höhere Gewicht auf, da das RF750 Plus ein Metallgehäuse hat. Das RF750 Plus ist in der Höhe etwas kleiner als das RF750 (siehe Vergleichsfoto), hat aber vor allem ein völlig anderes Design. Im Gegensatz zum Military-Retro-Look des RF750 hat das RF750 Plus ein Steampunk-Design mit vielen verspielten Details. So ist z. B. die Ladeanzeige des Akkus als beleuchtete (und tatsächlich funktionsfähige) Wasserwaage ausgeführt. Die Slots für SD-Karte und USB haben relativ aufwendig gestaltete Abdeckungen.Die Funktionen sind mit dem RF750 weitgehend identisch, die Bedienung ist jedoch völlig anders. Es gibt jetzt ein LCD-Display und als Bedienelemente nur zwei Tasten und eine Art Mini-Joystick. Die Bedienung ist nicht intuitiv, erschließt sich aber mit dem beiliegenden Handbuch. Wenn einem die Bedienung zu fummelig ist, kann man alternativ mit einer App auch das Smartphone als Fernbedienung per Bluetooth benutzen.Über den USB-Port kann man jetzt auch einen Kopfhörer anschließen, wofür ein Adapterkabel beiliegt. Schön ist, dass man auf dem Display eine Ladestandsanzeige des Akkus hat. Es wird auch die Uhrzeit angezeigt, und es gibt eine Weckerfunktion. Der schon vom RF750 bekannte Sleeptimer ist bis 90 min einstellbar (beim RF750 70 min).
