I purchased this RAM mount to hold my iPhone 6 Plus on the console of my Toyota forerunner. The iPhone was held by a separately sold spring loaded grip. The device remains securely adhered to the smooth plastic face on my console.I have used a number of other suction based mounting devices and have generally been disappointed in their performance. You will NOT be disappointed with the RAM suction base so long as the surface is appropriate for a suction cup mount.Delivery from the manufacturer/distributor was rapid and timely.Follow up note: I used multiple suction cup RAM mounts on a experimental car. We used to be ram mounts to secure laser radar sensors on the corner of the car. The ram mounts held the expensive sensors securely at relatively high speeds. We were so confident in the performance of the ram product that we interested it with $10,000 in sensing equipment! That should give you a sense for how much I believe in RAM.

Brought this suction cup and other ram accessories to mount my camera on my boiler so I can make sure its running when I’m away since it’s always throwing error codes. Mount works great for this, super strong suction. I figure the $100 camera mount setup is cheaper than all my pipes bursting in the cold canadian winters. (And yes I’ve had my boiler inspected and serviced)
