I'm farily new to watercolour but am really enjoying it. However, it seems quality watercolour supplies are more expensive than acrylic.It's the most expensive brush I've ever had and I was hesitant to spend so much money on one brush. However, it's pleasure to work with. The brush is soft and it leaves smooth even marks on the paper. It takes in a lot of water and paint and releases it evenly.I like how with a quill brush I'm able to make a variety of marks. I can draw fine details or make loose washes of watercolour with it.It holds it's pointy tip well so far but I've used it just for a few weeks so can't comment on the longevity.The handle could be more robust, though, it does feel a bit flimsy and light.Can't wait to try quill brushes from other makers to see how they compare.I'm pleased with this brush so far.Hope it helps.
