So I was struggling to put up a 20KG large mirror onto plasterboard. If this mirror was to come down it could really hurt someone. I couldn't use the studs as they didnt line up and the brickwork was too far away from the back of the plasterboard (8cm) to use safely, so my only option was to use some sort of plasterboard anchor. I decided on these and can confidently say the mirror is up and not budging. I've tugged out of it in every direction and it is locked in there!! Very impressed as the Ikea plasterboard plugs came out when trying to hang the same mirror up...However, one of these anchors when screwing the bolt tight started to spin in the plasterboard which concerned me. I thought I would have to abandon ship, but I sat down and thought about it. A slight spin on these will not affect its power of holding weight up. Their strength comes from the grip they have at the back. They wont just fall out like standard plugs.I cant wait to start to use these for other things now!

I put the drill through the plasterboard wall, popped it in, but when I went to turn it, the grip on the head of the wall plug just kept spinning, it ate through the plaster at first, then just kept spinning so it never opened up behind the wall.The grips on the opening/head are also tiny and very soft and easily snap.I ended up having to buy a different brand/type of wall plug.
