This thing is exactly what I was looking for, in that it helps me increase my bat speed, simply by adding strength. Truly though, there are many other ways to add strength/bat speed. One potential drawback, though, is that it can create bad habits, because the added weight can cause you to change your swing to deal with the extra weight in your hands. In my case, it caused me to drop my hands as soon as I started my hands forward. I'm pretty disciplined, I use a tee, and I use video, so I saw it and felt it. I adjusted for it, and now it's easier than ever to avoid letting my hands drop when hitting without the weight. Anyway, if you're going to get this and use it for live BP or hitting off the tee, be careful and monitor your swing. Other things to watch for are casting the hands out, losing balance (forward), and pulling the head and front shoulder out, all resulting from the attempt to keep bat speed up with the extra weight. My biggest challenge was to keep the mechanics, and allow a little slower bat speed while I used the weight.

Works nice for a 7 yr old

This product doesn’t fit properly on the bat, especially on a two-piece bat. The weight does not fit snug, and it tends to fly off during BP (batting practice). You have to force it on tightly to make it stay, but even then, the angle of the Jack-It doesn’t align well with most bats.I would recommend using a traditional donut weight instead, as it’s more reliable and easier to use.
